Climate change, "availaibility entrepreneurs" and the madness of crowds

JOHN TIERNEY has an excellent piece in the New York Times of 08-01-01: "In 2008, a 100 percent chance of alarm". Tierney points out how "availability entreprneurs" ride the popular wave about climate change: Supportive information and disinformation gets more attention than unsupportive information. Not a good basis for rational social choice.
